Virtual quote

Design your solar system online, then send it to us for review

Our online design tool builds a 3D plan of your roof and an indicative system size and savings estimate in about a minute — no phone call, no doorknock, no obligation. Send us the result and one of our designers will review it and come back with a written quote.

The design tool opens in a new tab and is hosted by GreenSketch, an independent solar design provider. Results are indicative estimates only — see the limitations below.

How the virtual quote works

Four steps, all of them reversible. Nothing you do in the tool commits you to a purchase.

  1. 01

    Enter your address

The tool loads aerial imagery of your roof so you can confirm the correct building and roof planes.

  2. 02

    AI roof analysis

Orientation, pitch, usable area and shading exposure are analysed to work out how many panels fit.

  3. 03

    See a 3D plan

You get an indicative system size, panel layout, generation estimate and battery expansion options.

  4. 04

    Send it to us

Submit the design and we review it against your real usage data, then issue a fixed written quote.

What we do with your design

A virtual plan is a great starting point, but it isn't a quote and it isn't a site assessment. Here's the work we do on top of it.

Check the design against your usage

We model your actual interval consumption and tariff rather than a generic profile, so the system is sized to what you really use.

Verify the site

Roof condition, switchboard, cable routes, isolator locations, shading and battery clearances are confirmed by an accredited installer before we commit to a price.

Confirm approvals and certificates

Distributor export limits, metering changes and the certificate (STC) value that applies to your installation date are all checked and itemised in the written quote.

Estimates only. System size, generation, bill savings and payback figures produced by the design tool are automated estimates based on aerial imagery, modelled solar irradiance and assumed usage and tariffs. They are not a quote, not a guarantee of savings, and not a substitute for a site assessment. Only a written quote issued by us is capable of acceptance, and a binding agreement is formed only when you accept that written quote.

Your privacy. The tool is operated by GreenSketch on its own platform under its own privacy terms. Information you enter there — including your address and any contact details — is collected by that provider and shared with us so we can prepare your quote. Once it reaches us we handle it under our privacy policy. We won't sell or trade your details, and we only send marketing if you opt in.

Sending your plan to us for review

When you finish the design, submit it in the tool and it comes straight through to our design team. If you'd rather send it yourself, save or screenshot the plan and email it to admin@sunquestsolar.net with your address and a recent electricity bill — the bill is what lets us size the system properly.

We aim to come back within two business days with a review of the plan, anything we would change and why, and a fixed written quote that itemises equipment, warranties, the certificate discount and any conditions.

Read your consumer rights that apply to estimates shown online.
