What a properly specified system includes

Everything below is itemised on your quote, including make, model, quantity and warranty term. Products are subject to availability from suppliers — if a specified model becomes unavailable, we will offer an equivalent or better alternative with the same or greater warranty coverage and seek your approval before any substitution.

Panels & mounting

Tier-1 modules with wind-region-rated racking, engineered for your roof type — tile, Colorbond, or flat with ballast.

Inverter & monitoring

String or hybrid inverters with per-string or panel-level monitoring so faults are visible, not guessed at.

Battery & backup

AC- or DC-coupled batteries from 5kWh, with optional essential-loads backup so key circuits ride through outages.

Electrical works

Switchboard upgrades, surge protection, correct DC isolation and cable management to AS/NZS 3000.

Approvals

Distributor connection pre-approval, export limit configuration and metering paperwork lodged by us.

Handover

Certificate of compliance, commissioning report, monitoring app set-up and a plain-English system walkthrough.

Sizing a battery honestly

A bigger battery is not automatically a better investment. The useful size depends on your evening load, your feed-in tariff, whether you have an EV or pool, and whether you want blackout backup. Since the federal certificate discount now tapers above 14kWh of usable capacity, oversizing costs proportionally more per kWh.

We model at least two options for every home — typically a right-sized system and a larger one — and show the assumptions behind each estimate so you can challenge them.

Tariffs, feed-in rates and certificate values change, and weather varies year to year.
